I’m a Seattle-based psychotherapist and coach with an office just south of downtown and I-90. I know that when you need a therapist, you need someone you can trust–a person with integrity and strong boundaries, with insight and intelligence and humor. Someone who can gently see through your defenses to the real person beneath.
I am a therapist with a parallel calling as an artist which you can view here. I bring aspects of my approach to art to my therapy work. Fearless and intuitive, I draw the kernel of truth from each client and each situation and help to bring it into the open for you to examine and assess.
I was recently talking with a colleague and here is how she described the way I was able to help her: “You listen into what I’m saying and are able to reflect back to me more than just what I said. You amplify and help me bring words to the sacred stuff my intuition is sharing with me.” I think that’s a pretty good description of how I work with clients, too.
I also put science to work for you by using the neuroscience Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR. It helps to balance out the images and feelings that won’t leave you alone. Your brain can be your friend again, instead of an enemy lying in wait to ambush you with powerful feelings and memories.
I can help you make positive and lasting changes in your relationships, communication, co-dependence, addiction, anxiety and depression, PTSD, and feeling stuck doing the same old things that are just not taking you where you want to be in life.
Please feel free to call or email to see if we might be a good fit. To learn more about me and how I work check out this page.
